Bill Wierzbicki has over 25 years of service in the nuclear and environmental fields with the Washington Division of URS Corporation and its legacy companies. As manager of Washington Regulatory and Environmental Services, he is responsible to ensure the Waste Isolaiton Pilot Plant is in compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits and agreements. He is also responsible for the site's environmental monitoring program, EPA certification program and management of the site's permits. Before coming to WIPP, he held similar environmental management and technical positions at the West Valley Demonstration Project, the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site and the Savannah River Site. Wierzbicki holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Mathematics from St. Anselm College. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Registered Environmental Manager (REM) and a Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
