Norman Whitlock
Manager, Internal Audit

Norman Whitlock is responsible for all aspects of internal auditing for Washington TRU Solutions. This includes providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve Washington TRU Solutions’ operations. Internal Auditing helps Washington TRU Solutions accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of risk management, control, and the governance processes.

Whitlock has served over eight years at WIPP in the Business Management and Internal Audit Departments. He brings to the project 15 years of accounting, auditing and financial management experience. He started his professional career in public accounting with a regional accounting firm in Midland, Texas.

Whitlock is a Certified Public Accountant and has over six years experience in internal audit at WIPP. He holds a BBA in accounting from Eastern New Mexico University. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

A lifelong resident of Carlsbad, other than seven years in Midland, Texas, Whitlock has been actively involved in the First Assembly of God Church, stock car racing, musical groups, hunting and family activities.
