Dennis Cook
General Counsel
Dennis Cook serves as General Counsel for WTS at WIPP. He has over 30 years of environmental and project management experience, including 20 years in the U.S. Department of Energy Weapons Complex. Cook joined WTS in 2008 as Associate General Counsel.
Prior to coming to WIPP, Cook served as Senior Counsel at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas from 2002 to 2008. He was also at the Fernald Environmental Management Project in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1991 to 2002, holding positions of increasing responsibility in Regulatory Compliance and as Manager of Mixed Waste Projects. Cook has also taught graduate courses in environmental law and environmental policy.
Cook is a Kentucky native. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Kentucky University and a Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
